Magnetic properties and phase diagrams of mixed spin-1 and spin-1/2 Ising model on a checkerboard square structure: A Monte Carlo study

The magnetic properties and phase diagrams of the mixed spin-1 spin-1/2 Ising model on a checkerboard square structure have been studied using Monte Carlo simulations based Metropolis update protocol. system consists four quartets alternative spin configuration. effect exchange interactions J crystal field D properties, critical compensation temperatures, susceptibility, specific heat investigated. diagrams, T-J T-D, for different values examined. We found that temperature starts to evolve J1 < 0.6 assembly J2 > 1.6 spin-1/2. On other hand, ferrimagnetic coupling does not show any threshold value; in this case, is constant. Regarding strength, value -0.8 has observed. obtain N-, Q- P-type behaviors system. observed exhibit only second-order transition paramagnetic phase; hence, tricritical point. hysteresis cycles interactions, fields found. Finally, exhibits superparamagnetism behavior fixed field.

Monte Carlo Study of a Mixed Spin-1 and Spin-3/2 Ising Ferromagnet

The magnetic properties of a mixed spin-1 and spin-3/2 Ising ferromagnetic system on a cubic lattice are studied by Monte Carlo simulation. In particular the effect of a single-ion anisotropy on the phase diagram is investigated.
